Victor Kovalenko has taiken his 470 team to Gold. The Girls are 18 points in front whilst the men are 22 points clear an unassailable lead before the Medal Race. Unles Elise and Tessa finish 10th, then they too will collect the worlds most coveted prize.

Nathan Wilmot after teaming up with Malcolm Page nearly 10 years ago finished Day 10 of racing with a lead of 22 points. That means the medal race, with it's double point system is no threat to the men. After a dissapointing 8th in Athen's, the multi World Champions have finally reaped the highest reward. Australia sends it's congratulations.

The racing across the whole fleet has been tough with light and shifty conditions. The Yingling girls led at the start, but have faded, a good effort for the first timers. The Laser fleets have also suffered, RSX Borad witgh Jessica Crisp is still looking good for a meal as is the 49er of Nathan Outeridge and Ben Austin are also fighting hard to stay in the medal hunt.
